Sablier or Hourglass Mill
The
origins of this mill are in France, and it is so named because of its shape. An
iron mill that is all hand-forged including the clamping mechanism in a
decorative heart form, the bottom is removed to retrieve the ground coffee by
means of a partial turn to align the slot and pin. With the handle removed, the
lid lifts on its hinge to allow the hopper to be filled with beans.
