All About ACMEAssociation of Coffee Mill EnthusiastsThe Association of Coffee Mill Enthusiasts was established by some very dedicated collectors in 1994 for those of us who love our antique coffee mills. ACME is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding and preserving old coffee grinders and gathering historical information about their manufacture. Our numbers increase each year and we welcome new members or inquiries about membership. Email Robert Palmer for more information. Click Here. Annual dues are US$40 (US$50 for mailing address outside of the continental US and Canada) The dues cover the costs of the informative, illustrated, quarterly newsletter, Grinder Finder, a copy of the membership roster and a portion of the annual ACME Convention expenses. Each year the ACME convention is held in a different locale. The 2006 Convention was held in Portland, Oregon to coincide with the big June Palmer-Wirf show. AND IT WAS WONDERFUL!! The 2007 Convention was held in York, Pennsylvania in conjunction with the KOOKS convention. Join ACME and join us at our next convention...location to be announced soon.
IF... your house is identified as a magnetic anomaly on US Geological Survey maps... IF... you go on a business trip and bring back two coffee mills, but don't bring home anything for your spouse's birthday... IF... you can identify the coffee mills in old Audie Murphy and John Wayne movies. And in Gunsmoke and the Walton's -- and don't forget Frasier... You could be a millaholic. Thanks to all of the members who have contributed to "You could be a millaholic if..." This list is now pages and pages long, much of it is based on the personal experiences of millaholics and their spouses. If you think you might be a millaholic, please join us in ACME |
